• Wasp Archery Announces New Lighted Nocks

As makers of The Ultimate Broadhead™, it comes as no surprise that Wasp Archery will soon be offering the ultimate lighted nock for hunters. The Vesta lighted nock, constructed of a super tough polycarbonate material with press-fit installation will help archers at the range and in the field.

Bowhunters can track their shots and easily recover arrows when using the Vesta lighted nock. Featuring an LED light that is activated only when you release an arrow, the light is only on when you need it to be – no false triggers, no wasted battery power, and no spooked game. Weighing only 22 grains, the lighted nock does not affect your accuracy, but makes it better by illuminating arrow flight issues. By simply pressing the nock onto their arrow shaft and releasing an arrow, bowhunters at the practice range can watch their shot from the time it’s released until it hits it the target, assuring their bow is tuned for the best arrow flight. From recovery in the field to shot feedback at the range, the Vesta will make you a better hunter.

The Vesta will fit most standard shafts with inside diameter of 0.245" - 0.246", and will be available in a red, green, pink, white/clear and orange. Look for the new Vesta lighted nocks at store near you or online and wasparchery.com soon!

  • Success With a Broadhead: 2013 Turkey Season

We received many photos and stories from hunters using Wasp broadheads on turkey hunts this spring. Below are photos and comments from successful turkey hunters and what they have to say about Wasp turkey hunting broadheads. Congrats to all the hunters!

    Kristen

"Wasp Queen broadheads continue to give me success in the field. On the first day of youth turkey season, my dad and I were set up in a double bull ground blind early Saturday morning. Turkeys started flying down, but were not interested in our calling or our decoy. We started calling once more and had three different gobblers answer. Finally, one gobbler started making his way toward the decoy, when all of a sudden two more gobblers appeared and ran the first gobbler off. While at full strut, they started making their way towards our setup. They were at 25 yards when I shot my first arrow right under the biggest gobbler. I reached for another arrow as the turkeys stood there not know what just happened. I ranged him again at 20 yds and sent the second arrow right through the center of him. He ran maybe 10 yards before expiring. Thanks again for continuing to make the best broadhead for woman available!"

Wasp Archery Built By America Contest

Wasp Archery has been making broadheads in Connecticut since 1971, and each year another chapter is added to our story – stories of broadhead and hunting adventures Built by America. We think it is time to tell the story of Wasp Archery, and we want to hear your stories, too.

It’s your stories that keep us going. We care deeply about what we are doing, and spend a lot of time on new product development and researching broadhead durability. The spirit of American innovation is still alive at 707 Main Street, Plymouth, CT – where broadheads are Built by America.

Great hunting stories aren’t made in China. They are made here at home, in the America’s woods and fields, and we love hearing them. The most satisfying aspect of our business remains our interaction with you – whether it’s via phone (where an actual person answers), email or visit to the factory. Our customers are very vocal, and we love it. After all, when we label our broadheads as “The Ultimate Broadhead,” people expect the best. Hearing about what happens when customers take our broadheads to the woods is something we like to hear.

As we launch the “Built by America” contest, take a few minutes to tell us your story. It can be anything you have to say about our broadheads – how long you have used them, how many animals you have shot with one broadhead, why you proudly display a Wasp Archery decal on your truck window. You may win a one of many Wasp prize packages. Click here to enter now!
