Wasp Archery Launches Jak-X Crossbow Broadhead

Crossbow hunting has exploded in popularity, but the crossbow broadhead market has been failing to meet the demands of hunters using a modern crossbow. Until now. With the release of the Jak-X crossbow broadhead, Wasp Archery continues the long tradition of engineering The Ultimate Broadhead™ in America.

“The Wasp Jak-Hammer has been the most dependable mechanical broadhead on the market since 1995, and it still is today,” said Zach Weaver, vice president of sales and marketing for Wasp Archery. “We took the proven design of the Jak-Hammer, made a few tweaks and created the Jak-X Crossbow. The result is the perfect combination of power, strength and accuracy crossbow hunters demand.”

The Jak-X Crossbow features a Stainless Steel Smart Tip (SST) pre-aligned with three .036-inch-thick stainless steel blades ensuring maximum penetration by creating a straight cutting path through anything that gets in its way.

“The Jak-X tip will never fail,” said Weaver. “It’s machined, hardened and hollow grounded to a razor edge, and they always align with the blades. You get the consistent flight and great penetration that Wasp broadheads are known for. None of our competitors can make this claim.”

The beefed-up O-ring system retains the blades during flight and guarantees proper deployment on impact, even when shot from crossbows at 380+ FPS, as the blades fold back to a huge cutting diameter of 1-3/4 inches. This results in quick kills and easy-to-follow blood trails.

“The field-testing results on this head were amazing,” said Weaver. “If you need to go through bone, the Jak-X Crossbow breaks the bone with the tip in the same place the blades will pass through. It really is the perfect choice for crossbow hunters needing an accurate, durable and powerful broadhead.”

When you see the blood-red ferule of the Jak-X crossbow in stores, you know what is in in the package: Three deadly broadheads featuring American craftsmanship and more than 40 years of successful hunting stories. The Jak-X is available in 100 grain and retails for $31.99.
